Is BideXa free?
Yes. BideXa is free to download and free to use. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, no email, no password. You open the app and start tapping countries.
Does it work offline?
Completely. The map, the stats, the achievements, the Wonders — everything runs on your device. You can track a trip mid-flight with airplane mode on.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone, and only on your phone. BideXa has no backend and no servers — your travel history never leaves the device unless you explicitly share it.
How does sharing with a friend work?
Your friend scans a QR code from your screen. That QR carries a compact, anonymous summary of your visited countries — no names, no emails, no trip notes.
Can I move my data to a new device?
Yes. BideXa ships with a full backup and restore flow: export a backup file from Settings on your old device, then import it on the new one. Your trips, visits, Wonders and settings all come with you — and it works across Android and iPhone.
Can I track states and provinces, not just countries?
Yes. Region-level tracking is available in 12 countries: the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, China and Australia. Toggle it on from the country detail sheet.
How do achievements work?
Every country you mark as visited feeds into 40+ badges across bronze, silver and gold tiers. Some track continents, some track specific regions, some track travel styles. No grinding — just exploring.
