Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how BideXa handles your data.
Local data storage
Your travel data — visited countries, want-to-visit list, trips, and badges — is stored locally on your device. Some limited, non-personal usage and travel-trend signals may be sent to our analytics engine as described below.
Anonymous user ID
A random anonymous identifier is generated and stored locally. It is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information.
Analytics & tracking
BideXa may use an analytics engine to collect limited usage statistics, such as app opens, feature usage, general interaction events, and generic travel-trend information (countries or regions marked as visited or planned). We use this to understand how people use the app and to improve BideXa. We do not use analytics to identify you personally.
Permissions
BideXa does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, or any other device sensors.
Sharing
Sharing a map with a friend uses a QR code that contains a compact, anonymous summary of your visited countries. It does not carry your name, email, or trip notes, and it never touches a server — the data is exchanged directly between two devices that are in the same place.
Data retention & deletion
All your data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling BideXa removes it. You can also export a backup from Settings to move your map to a new device.
